About ME

I have been blessed to have been playing music in the DMV area for almost 30 years.  I was one of the founding members of the band Standard Deviation (www.facebook.com/standarddeviationrocks).  The band consisted of Guitarist Extraordinaire Pete Keys, Amazing Drummer Mike Walker, and yours truly on Bass and Vocals.  The band began is 1994 and became a fixture in Georgetown for more than eight years.  Together we played the best covers songs as well as originals. Our album Now Hear This received airplay on DC101 and WHFS. Playing and songwriting with Pete Keys made me the musician I am today.  

In 2011, I joined the local DMV Beatles band The GoodFellas (www.GoodFellastheband.com).  The Band consisted of Jon (Jonny Rock) Sullivan on Drums and Vocals, Ray Futran on Lead Guitar and Vocals, Mark Loveland on Rhythm Guitar and Vocals, and yours truly on Bass and Vocals.  The GoodFellas had had the pleasure of playing multiple times at the Abbey Road on the River festival, a Hurricane Sandy Benefit in New York, shows in Florida, as well as a yearly show in New England.  One amazing accomplishments of the band have been playing The Beatles White Album and The Beatles Abbey Road for DC's classic rock station BIG 100. Our biggest accomplishment to this date has been our multiple trips to International Beatles in Liverpool in 2013 and in 2016. Both years we had the pleasure of playing ten shows over 7 days.  In 2016, we had the honor of playing the last show of the festival.    

When the Covid pandemic hit, I decided to start doing acoustic shows wherever possible.  At least once per weekend, I did outdoor shows in Ashburn for fun.  I have gotten a great response from all of the people that come out to enjoy the music.  Thanks to that, I have been able to get private events and parties. I pride myself on playing something for everyone, plus some great rarities from the 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's, that most people know and love. There is no better feeling than seeing people smile and sing along. As I move forward, my goal now is to establish myself as a regular at some of the wineries and breweries that I have enjoyed attending over the years.
